*Sunday 25th May – BOSTRAZE NATURE RESERVE, near ST JUST – SW33. Cornwall Wildlife Trust would like to invite all Recorders to the new Bostraze Nature Reserve for a day of recording. This is an opportunity to record on previously privately owned land covering 24ha of wetland habitats and reverting semi-improved grassland making up almost half of the wider Bostraze Bog complex. We would like your help to collect as many records as possible to inform our future management of the site. Past records for Bostraze Bog include 9 species of BAP butterfly and moth (including past records for Marsh Fritillary), 10 species of dragonfly and damselfly (including Small Red Damselfly), 9 CRDB non-vascular plants (including Western Rustwort), CRDB solitary mining bees (including Andrena pilipes s.l.), numerous BAP, CRDB and red and amber listed birds. The site also supports large amounts of Round-Leaved Sundew (Drosera rotundifolia) and Pale Butterwort (Pinguicula lusitanica), with past records for Coral Necklace (Illecebrum verticillatum) and Eyebright (Euphrasia anglica).  Meet at 9:30am at Woon Gumpus Car Park SW39343336. The site is a 10-15minutes walk away. Please note parking is limited so do car share if possible. Tea and cake will be provided at the end of the day at 4pm. For directions or more information contact Liz Cox 01872 273939 ext:209 or liz.cox@cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk
