Saturday 23rd February 2019 – BCG Annual indoor meeting. 10am – 3pm St Wenn Village (WI) Hall, SW96 (mid-Cornwall). The yearly indoor meeting will include a review of botanical happenings of 2018 in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly by the BSBI vice-county recorders for Cornwall (Ian Bennallick for East Cornwall, Colin French for West Cornwall, and Rosemary Parslow for the Isles of Scilly) and the British Bryological Society recorder for Cornwall (Matt Stribley). There will a chance to view photos of plants seen in 2018, sell, donate or swap books, journals or other botanical related material and have a good chat! Meet at St Wenn Village (WI) Hall, SW96876496. Bring packed lunch or a plate of nibbles to share. To cover the cost of the hall and refreshments, £3 will be requested from each attendee.

From the A30 – At the A30 Victoria Interchange by Cornwall Services (SW998622) come off the small roundabout on the north side of interchange and at the junction at SW998624 take the minor road north to Withiel. Drive 1.4 miles north (through Inchs crossroads) and turn left at next (Withiel Fourturnings) crossroads. Drive west for 1.8 miles (past Henry’s Cattery and the red brick house at Prince Park) and at Shopgate junction turn right to St Wenn Churchtown – the hall is in the village past the School, the huge car park is on the right (south of the hall).

From the A39 – at the A39 Winnard’s Perch roundabout take the B3274 signposted to St Austell and St Wenn and drive southeast and then east 2.2 miles until Pengelly corner junction. Turn off the B3274 and drive 1 mile east to Shopgate junction. Turn left to St Wenn Churchtown – the hall is in the village past the School, the huge car park is on the right (south of the hall).
