Port Gaverne
Organiser: Matt Stribley
We will explore the Port Gaverne area within tetrad SX08A which has 7 records to date. The area offers a promising range of habitats, hopefully we will find an interesting rang of species.

Meet in Portgaverne (SX003808) where there is limited free parking for a few cars. If no spaces are available parking is available in the nearby Cornwall Council Port Isaac car park (SW999810), charges apply here.

This is an informal group to encourage they study of bryophytes and recording in Cornwall. Anyone with an interest is welcome to attend meeting. Beginners are welcome as well as those experienced and confident at identifying bryophytes. The only equipment required is a hand lens (x10 or x20) and perhaps some paper packets for collecting specimens for later study. sites visits can be cold, wet and muddy so it’s advisable to wear good boots and bring warm waterproof clothing. All meetings start at 10am and usually finish before 4pm and we usually carry a packed lunch. Booking is not usually required but is desirable. Meeting can be cancelled at short notice if adverse weather is forecast.
