Sunday 24th August – CHIVERTON and VENTONGIMPS CWT reserves – SW75. A visit to two of the Cornwall Widlife Trust’s reserves with mire habitat and wet woodland. Species to find include Dorset Heath (Erica ciliaris), Pale Butterwort (Pinguicula lusitanica) and another search for Great Sundew (Drosera anglica) at Ventongimps, where it was last seen in 1975, but currently considered extinct in Cornwall. Parking is limited so meet at Cornwall Wildlife Trust HQ at Allet, SW79374855 to arrange car-sharing. Wellies advised.
